Austin's Bio
VUYD is a rising star in the Minnesota dance scene, his journey began in Mankato, where he first showcased his moves at small events and parties, captivating audiences with his infectious energy.
As his talent gained recognition, he ventured to Minneapolis, where he quickly made a name for himself performing at various events. However, it was his breakthrough moment in 2023 at the Rema concert that truly set him on the path to success, since then he’s performed at multiple events, and festivals such as Afronation and worked with numerous artists.
Known for his positive vibes and energetic dance moves, he embodies the slogan "Vibe Until You Drop." His performances are a celebration of life, filled with electrifying energy that leaves audiences wanting more.
VUYD’s mission is clear: he's a dancer dedicated to bringing out the electric energy of Afrobeats. With every move, he aims to spread joy and positivity, connecting with people through the universal language of dance.

Join us for a 6-week intensive course designed for school-aged kids, where they’ll learn form, rhythm, and routines with various West African dance moves. The course will culminate in a final performance on the last day of class with costumes provided. Attendance at most rehearsals is required to participate in the performance. All levels are welcome!

Afrobeats Dance Classes – Kids Performance Series
Ages 6–12 | Spring Program (Level 2)- Level 2 means the student is not a beginner in dance*
Dates: March 19, 26 & April 2, 9, 16, 23
Day & Time: Thursdays, 5:30–6:30 PM
📍 Center for Performing Arts.
Allows expression through movement & dance.
Boosts self esteem & confidence.
Creates cultural awareness & appreciation.
Develops social skills & camaraderie.
Enhances coordination through dance & technique training.
Fosters an active lifestyle & fitness routine.
📌 Attendance Policy: If a participant misses 3 rehearsals, they may not be able to perform.
💛 This is a safe and welcoming space for all children. Bullying will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the program.

Step into a vibrant 3-month journey through West African dance traditions, guided by seasoned instructors and rooted in culture, community, and performance.
Dance Styles: Explore Igbo, Gambian, Togolese, and Beyond !!!
Grand Finale: Showcase your skills at our celebratory performance on JUNE 6th 2026 in Minneapolis. Please reserve the full day, as we anticipate both an AM and PM shows.
Costumes Provided: Performance attire will be arranged for the grand finale.
Certificates & Awards: Participants who complete the program will receive recognition awards.
Full Payment:
As we are currently operating without grant funding, a full tuition payment of $120 at registration is greatly appreciated and helps us sustain the program. Please note that tuition payments are non-refundable.

The second immediate family member receives 30% off tuition. Please email us to receive the discount code prior to registering.
If you are able to pay full tuition, we sincerely appreciate it — your support helps us continue offering quality.

Days: Tuesdays & Fridays
Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM (give or take 30 minutes)

Locations will be confirmed prior to the first session. A detailed schedule with weekly locations will be shared on the first day of class.
Practice Material:
New choreography recordings will be provided for home practice.
Attend either Tuesday or Friday sessions ( both are encouraged).
In May, Friday sessions will become mandatory for formations and staging.
Miss a session? You may make it up on the alternate day.
More than four weeks of absences may affect performance eligibility.
Our goal is to promote cultural appreciation, unity, and excellence through the joy of African dance and music.
