Rythms: Ndombolo, Soukous, Togolese Trads, Azonto.
The classes sessions will have different themes...
Session 1: AfroGroove with Elsieville: Everything but Legwork - focusing on ndombolo, soukous, Togolese styles.
Session 2: AfroGroove with Elsieville: Back to Trad - focusing on Togolese trad moves and it's evolution.
Session 3: AfroGroove with Elsieville: Doing It Big... Featuring Abrecia... Plus size friendly class. Various styles.
About the artist: Elsie is a dynamic dancer and artistic creator from Togo. Her lifelong passion for movement began at a young age, captivating family and friends with her dance. Elsie's journey has spanned various styles, from praise dance to musical theater to college dance organizations and, more recently, Afrocontigbo Dance Therapy. She has mastered a diverse range of styles, including Ndombolo, Soukous, Makossa, Coupé Décalé, Gweta, Azonto, and traditional African movements. Elsie is also the founder of Moves of Glory Dance Ministry, dedicated to teaching praise dance to children and young adults. As Elsie puts it, "Dance for me isn't just a hobby, it's a lifestyle. I'm blessed to continuously explore my creative career, teaching and learning diverse dance styles. As my favorite quote says, 'Dance reveals what music conceals.' I strive to be an example, encouraging everyone to explore their own creative side, whether it's dance, music, or art.

About the Instructor:
Saucyraya (Soraya Dorvilier) is a Haitian-American dancer with global roots, having lived in Haiti, the DR, Senegal, and across the U.S. Trained in hip hop, Afro, jazz, Haitian traditional styles, twerk, and heels, she brings versatility and passion to every class. Former captain and choreographer for KRUSH MN, she has danced for artists like Rema and Adekunle Gold, and currently teaches Afro and Twerk at The Workroom MN.

Amaria Rocco has been dancing since the age of 11, building a strong technical foundation through training in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, heels, and Afro styles. Beyond her versatility, Amaria is known for the fire she brings into every dance space commanding the room with passion, precision, and presence. Her creativity doesn’t stop at movement; she consistently delivers meaningful impact within the dance community, using her artistry to inspire, connect, and elevate those around her.
Patricia Davies :
“Tricia” Davies is a passionate and versatile dancer with over eight years of experience in performance, choreography, and instruction. Specializing in Afro-fusion, Hip Hop, Heels, Twerk, Contemporary, Jazz, Kick, and Dancehall, Tricia brings both technical skill and infectious energy to every space she enters. She continues to grow her artistry while sharing the joy of movement with her community through classes, performances, and creative collaborations.

Travel across cultures through dance! This workshop series blends Afro-Contemporary foundations with global street and social dance traditions, highlighting the shared rhythms that connects the greater African Diaspora and its vast influence. Each session spotlights a unique fusion featuring signature moves that showcase the global journey of African rhythms and dance.
